Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 12, 2026. Like the Terms of Service, this page is a good-faith, code-accurate placeholder — not a substitute for legal review before a commercial launch.

This page describes, in plain language, what data Live Gaming Guide collects and how it's used.

1. How you sign in

Live Gaming Guide only supports signing in with Twitch or Google — we never collect or store a password.

Signing in with Twitch shares your Twitch username, display name, and avatar. We deliberately request no additional permissions from Twitch — but Twitch may still include your email address in its response as a default field regardless of the permissions we ask for. If it does, we store it the same way we store the email Google provides (see below), even though we don't request or use it.
Signing in with Google shares your name, email address, and avatar, since Google requires those by default to complete sign-in.

2. What we store

When you sign in, we create a profile with your username, display name, and avatar from your chosen provider. You can additionally add: a bio, your timezone, and links to your Twitch/YouTube channels. If you create a schedule, we store the streams you publish (title, description, game, platform, times, sponsor/charity/giveaway details) and any guests you invite (their username if they're a site user, or a name/link if they're not).

3. What's public

Profiles, published schedules, and games are public by design — anyone can view them without an account, which is the point of the Service. Your email address (received from either provider) is never shown publicly and isn't visible to other users.

4. Cookies

We use cookies only to keep you signed in (managed by our authentication provider, Supabase). We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Who else sees your data

We use Supabase to host our database and handle authentication, and Twitch/Google as sign-in providers. We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else.

6. Deleting your data

You can delete your account yourself at any time from the "Danger zone" section of your profile page. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, streams, guest invites, and platform connections. If you run into trouble, or want to request deletion another way, email contact@livegamingguide.com.

7. Children's privacy

The Service isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. We'll update the effective date above when we do.
